BASE Education Tier II and III Intervention Modules
Intervention courses are typically delivered in settings designed to meet the needs of students struggling with varying topics and with the ability to engage in constructive ways in school and in life. Students may be dealing with anger, substance abuse, low academic performance, truancy, and other Tier 2 and 3 struggles.
By the nature of Tier 2 and 3 Intervention systems, BASE courses are delivered in different settings and different (more individualized) sequences. Courses may be accessed during in-school suspension, pull-out small groups, or possibly in after school programs designed for intervention.
Intervention courses are designed to be a “wrap-around” curriculum, where one needed skill (Anger Management), is selected, and grouped with other skill areas that support, for example, Healthy Communication, Coping Strategies.
