Mindful Minute-

Use this quick Mindful Minute exercise to prompt your students to refocus their attention to the present moment. Watch the video for instructions.
At the beginning of class, or after a transition, you can take a mindful moment: invite kids to close their eyes (if they’re comfortable doing so), and take a few deep breaths. They can pay attention to breathing — what does it feel like when they breathe in and out? Or they can notice their thoughts — is their mind really busy or quiet right now?

You can also use the short videos below (a great option if you’re new to mindfulness or if kids don’t want to close their eyes).  View the video for instructions.  Each video takes less than 2 minutes to complete.
